Car show being organised by Ormskirk Motor Club set for roaring success

Following a very successful inaugural event last September, registrations for the 2019 Formby Car Show, which has been brought forward to 30th June, are now open. Speaking for the organiser, Ormskirk and District Motor Club, Nick Stafford said that the success of the 2018 show, which had been organised in just a three-week window, had prompted the club to move the show to an earlier date alongside the established Formby Live and to allow more behind-the-scenes organisational time. ‘The town is packed to capacity for Formby Live’ he said, adding that with more time to prepare, the club is working on special displays to complement the in-town activities to deliver a fantastic event for enthusiasts and non-autos visitors alike.

In line with the advance planning and to enable participants to plan ahead, registrations are now open on the club web site. Registration is by a simple on-line form and is completely free. The club is currently negotiating a package of extra benefits for display vehicle owners which will be announced later.

All vehicles are welcome including classics, vintage and veteran, custom, kit, specials, performance or competition. They can be cars, motorcycles, or microcars, with two, three, four (or more!) wheels – all are welcome and all can display free.

To register, go to the club web site at www.ormskirkanddistrictmotorclub.co.uk and select Calendar in the menu then follow the links. Take care to visit the dot co dot uk web site which is the only ODMC club site.
