Police appeal for witnesses after car hits wall and lands on its back in a field in Ormskirk

Local Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Ormskirk on Friday 27th July.

Around 11.05pm Police received reports of a collision involving a Ford Fiesta.

The car was travelling south along Altys Lane when it collided with a stone wall and a concrete lamppost before landing on its roof in a nearby field.

The driver, a 19-year-old-man, was taken to hospital and treated treated for back injuries.

Sergeant Lee Harris of Lancashire’s Road Policing Unit: “We are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and would appeal to anyone who witnessed it, or saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision, to get in touch.”
