A short time later, around 10.25pm, a further report of criminal damage was reported to police after a wine bottle had been thrown through a house window in Bearncroft.

Detectives believe the incidents are connected.

“Two people have been arrested and we are conducting a number of enquiries.

“It is important that communities have confidence in the police and I would encourage anyone to speak to their local officers if they have any concerns about violent crime in their area. Similarly it is important that we work together with our communities to identify and deal with those committing offences, so if you have any information that would help us please call 101 or report it to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online at http://socsi.in/tIFBM.”
