Police want to speak to Aughton man about serious assault.

Lancashire Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a serious assault on Southport Road in Ormskirk on 28th April.

The incident happened at around 2.45am and two men had to be taken to hospital to be treated for stab wounds.

John James Jones of Ennerdale Drive, is 6ft 1 and of heavy build and 28 years old.

As well as Lancashire, he also has links to the Merseyside area.

Detective Inspector Graeme Simpson of Lancashire Police said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts to please come forward.

“If you see him, or know where he is, please contact police immediately.

“Likewise, if Jones himself sees this appeal, I would urge him to attend the nearest police station.”

A man has been charged in connection with this incident. Daniel Rushworth, 29, of Middlewood Road, Aughton, has been charged with two counts of section 18 wounding and one count of section 39 assault. He has been remanded in custody.
