Police appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist dies

Police have confirmed the sad news that a motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car on County Road, Ormskirk.
The collision occured at 5pm on Wednesday April 18, when the bike – a Yamaha MT10 – collided with a Honda Civic, causing the rider to be thrown from the vehicle.
The motorcyclist suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to Aintree Hospital, where he later died.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Sgt Finn Quainton, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Road Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man at this tragic time.
“We would ask anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.”
